Where to Network in May - Meetups, Conferences, and More



Each month All Hands will share a post of events from around Taiwan. These events will span networking, professional learning, community gatherings, hiring, seminars, happy hours, and more. This will be a living list and is by no means comprehensive. If you know of a great event that should be included, please send us a message to let us know.


*Unless noted, most of these events are in English, but we have not attended all of these series before. You should look into the event if you have any language concerns.


5/1 – Let's Mine Money! – Cinecore Mining Services will discuss how to make your money work for you, touching upon subjects like the future of the monetary and financial systems, DeFi and how secure it is, passive income & crypto mining. (Price unknown)


5/3-31 – Self-Taught Coding Tuesdays – Taiwan Code Camp want to encourage more people to learn how to code so that they can be empowered to build products that solve problems they experience in their domain of work or in their daily lives. Whether you are working on a side project or learning a new coding language, come study/work at a cafe together every Tuesday night! (Free, RSVP required)


5/4 – New Kids on the Blockchain – This event will discuss real-life applications of Blockchain technology (other than crypto) and how they are impacting and improving our lives. From NFT to smart mobility, the panelists will cover how crypto and blockchain will influence our lives in the next few years. (NTD$300, includes one beer or non-alcoholic beverage)


5/4-6 – DIGITIMES 2022 Taiwan AI EXPO – The AI ​​industry chain is developing and evolving, rapidly and dramatically. Taiwan's largest annual AI event "2022 Taiwan AI EXPO" will be held in Huashan 1914 Creative Park from May 4th to 6th. (Free)


5/4-25 – Android Code Club (Taipei) – Taiwan Android Developer Study Group hosts a mixed language discussion gathering every Wednesday for Android developers. Whether you are a novice or a professional, code, chat, and discuss together at this event. (NTD $100, RSVP required)


5/8 – Pitch Your F&B Retail Business – Continuing their mission to help entrepreneurs starting and growing their F&B business, three diverse professionals invite all F&B folks who are genuinely serious about starting a retail business, to join this high-intensity business idea development workshop. (NTD$1300 for a Pitch Slot, NTD$600 for Audience)


5/11-14 – Kaohsiung Industrial Automation Exhibition 2022 – Kaohsiung Industrial Automation Exhibition features several highlighted exhibition zones with an aim to boost development of the industrial automation industry in southern Taiwan and help insiders to go global and explore overseas markets. (Free)


5/14 – Taiwan Crypto and NFT Club Meetup – Milliondc Ltd., an education platform for entrepreneurs, holds a professional network event that talks about Crypto, NFTs, and anything in between, with the goal of gathering people who share the same interest and learn from each other. (Free)


5/17 – Office Hours with Xiri Attorneys – Want to start a business, but don't know how to register your company? Running into legal issues with your startup and don't know what to do? The experts at Xiri Attorneys offer sophisticated and professional legal services. (Free for Futureward Members, NTD$300 for non-Futureward members, Reservation needed)



5/19 – Leveling Up Your Character – Lifelong learning isn’t a new concept, but the rapid advancement of technology and the diversification of skills across industries make skills growth and addition acutely important for competitive professionals. This event will talk about how to add skills while you’re working, where to seek mentorship, which skills certificates are really valuable, and more. (NTD$300, includes one beer or non-alcoholic beverage)


5/19 – 2022 All-Chamber Spring Happy Hour – Hosted this year by EBAT European Business Association and co-hosted by 9 other All-Chamber Group chambers, this annual mixer is well-attended and a great opportunity to network and connect with the Taipei Chamber community. (NTD$1300 for pre-registered Members & Guests, NTD$1500 for walk-ins)


5/20 – Shaken Not Stirred – The BCCT monthly Shaken Not Stirred includes free-flowing beer, wine, soft drinks and a light gourmet meal. Come meet old friends and make new ones in a relaxed, informal setting. (NTD$1200 for SnS Members, NTD$1500 for non-SnS Members, NTD$1700 for walk-ins)


5/25 – Young Professionals Workshop-Business Development Strategy in a Changing Environment – This workshop will guide audiences in utilizing systematical thinking model tools step by step, and help audiences design their own business development strategy to have an outstanding position in the future. (Primarily conducted in Chinese, NTD$500 for BCCT Members, NTD$700 for non-BCCT members)


5/26 – EBAT's Legal Clinics – Held once a month, European Business Association in Taiwan invites all parties who need legal counsel, to their office in JustCo Minsheng Jianguo for a pro-bono legal consultation. (Free, but please book a slot)
