Alan McIvor, Consumer Team Lead at Bo Le Associates, started working in the headhunting industry six years ago with ZW HR Consulting in Shanghai, taking on Business Development and marketing recruitment. After learning the ropes of the industry he moved back to Taipei to work as a marketing recruiter in the famous English firm Robert Walters. Two years in Taipei, with its many ups and downs provided an excellent platform to grow and he was headhunted himself to lead the Consumer Team in Bo Le Associates. Now in charge of sales, marketing, digital, e-commerce and PR roles regionally, he has developed his knowledge and expertise in the Taiwan market culminating in the top sales award in Taipei for 2018.

Sharine Chen, Technical Recruiter at Paul Wright Group, LLC, has an extensive network of candidates with skills across cutting-edge digital, FinTech & AI, data science, and mobile technology. She has delivered numerous complex search mandates across all levels in Taiwan working with domestic software start-ups to global organisations.

Prior to a career in recruitment, Sharine was working in account management roles in a Fortune 500 American IT service.

Allie Lu, Research Associate at KornFerry, started her recruitment journey in Hong Kong as a consultant after working in the hospitality industry. Now she is working at KornFerry as a Research Associate, primarily focused on the Consumer industry from RPO projects (Recruitment Process Outsource) to senior executive level search. With 4.5 years of recruiting experience, she has logged several successful placements for MNC and local cooperate throughout the Greater China region.

Allie is also passionate about talent solutions – getting hired is the first step, but facing a rapidly growing environment, it is important to continually develop ourselves in response to competitive markets.

Welly Huang started his career as a recruiter in Tokyo after finishing his master degree. Now he’s a team leader with a total of nearly 4 years recruiting experience.

Welly specializes in recruiting sales and marketing professionals for start-ups, software, and high-tech companies. Previously he has several successful placements of helping foreigners land jobs in this sector.

It is clear to see there’s a growing demand for foreign skillsets that haven’t been supplied in Taiwan’s job market. It is always Welly’s passion to share how talents can stand out during job hunting, and how a successful relationship with recruiters can help in landing a dream job.

We hope to see you on Thursday night, don’t forget to register in advance!
