Where to Network in Taiwan in July 2022 – Conferences, Meetups, and More

Each month All Hands will share a post of events from around Taiwan. These events will span networking, professional learning, community gatherings, hiring, seminars, happy hours, and more. This will be a living list and is by no means comprehensive. If you know of a great event that should be included, please send us a message to let us know. The data will be updated weekly.


*Unless noted, most of these events are in English, but we have not attended all of these series before. You should look into the event if you have any language concerns.

 

7/1 – Sundowners – Meet new contacts and renew old acquaintances from the Australian, New Zealand, and Taiwanese business community at ANZCham's favorite Aussie and Kiwi hangout. All members, non-members, and friends are welcome to join this professional 'after-work drinks' networking event. (NTD$1000 for Members, NTD$1300 for Non-Members, RSVP required)


7/1,15 – Elite Toastmasters Club (ETC) Regular MeetingElite Toastmasters Club (Kaohsiung) supports members to build public speaking leadership skills for better self-growth and communication on the first and third Friday of each month. (Free, RSVP required)


7/1-29 – MozTW LabMozTW, a community that loves internet freedom and defends your rights with the open-source browser Firefox, welcomes you to join their weekly event with a place where you can make friends, gossip, share, and study with each other. (Free, RSVP required)


7/3 – Triple B Social (BBQ, Beer, and Board Games)Top Shelf Games, a company based in Taipei and headed by a board game enthusiast, hosts their monthly Triple B Social (beer, barbecue, and board games) event. Come out for a chill Sunday of delicious food, great beer, and fun games. (Free, 1 drink minimum per person, RSVP required)


7/4 – 4th of July Celebration x American Club Taipei (ACC)The American Chamber of Commerce in Taiwan (AmCham Taiwan) celebrates the most iconic American holiday – the birth of the great nation known as the USA! Enjoy all the American favorites with live bands, food & drinks, and family fun. (NTD$1800 for Members/Member Guests, NTD$900 for children (3-12 years), Free for children under 3, RSVP required)


7/5-7/26 – Self-Taught Coding TuesdaysTaiwan Code Camp & Taiwan Digital Drinks wants to encourage more people to learn how to code so that they can be empowered to build products that solve problems they experience in their domain of work or in their daily lives. Whether you are working on a side project, learning a new coding language, getting lonely and bored from working on a project by yourself, come study/work together every Tuesday night! 7/6-7/8 – ICCE–Taiwan 2022 – After the successful ICCE-Taiwan in 2014 to 2021, the upcoming 2022 IEEE International Conference on Consumer Electronics – Taiwan aims to continue its success by initiating profound discussions on research and discovery in electronics and relevant professional fields. 7/6-7/27 – Bla Bla Night – Do you speak French? Ever wanted to learn or improve your level? Come to this event and become a part of Le Blabla Night — meet new people and old friends in the chilled-out atmosphere, share knowledge and learn new things. The team of Another Brick will make sure you will enjoy every sip of Belgian beer, wine or cocktail the whole evening while you’re having fun, playing board games and, of course, speaking French. 7/6-7/27 – Android Code Club(Taipei)Taiwan Android Developer Study Group hosts a mixed language discussion gathering every Wednesday for Android developers. Whether you are a novice or a professional, code, chat, and discuss together at this event. (NTD $100, RSVP required)


7/6-7/27 – SyntaxErrorPython Hsinchu User Group (PyHUG), a group of Python programmers located in Hsinchu holds "SyntaxError," a social gathering where everyone is welcomed and doesn't have a presumed topic. Show up and bring your laptop to show code! (Free, RSVP required)


7/7-7/28 – Taipei Couchsurfing Thursday MeetingCouchsurfers in Taiwan welcome you to their regular Thursday surfers' meeting in the heart of Taipei for meeting new people and old friends, and to talk about everything and anything. (Free, RSVP required)
